The Mojave National Preserve is a federally protected zone of desert wilderness that features diverse ecological environments and amazing geology.

This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera with a Carl Zeiss Planar 1:2.8 f=80mm lens and Kowa L-1A ø67 filter + adapter using Fuji160NS film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

It is a fascinating place to explore - lots of geology, plants and animals.
It is quite hot in the mid-summer but in late winter and springtime is perfect (23ºC high temperature during my early April visit). Don't visit in July!!!
