This photo was taken by a Hasselblad 500C medium format film camera and Carl Zeiss Sonnar 1:4 f=150mm lens attached to a 10mm extension tube with a Kowa L-1A ø67 filter + adapter using Fuji 160NS film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Ha ha . . . Funny that you should ask. This cactus is also called the "Jumping Cholla" since sections break off and tumble away and take root, propelled by the wind. This is how they propagate and spread throughout the territory (and project into your legs!)
