Huru, the tallest of Marco di Suvero's sculptures, rises from Crissy Field with views of Alcatraz and passing freighters in the background.

This image was shot from a Zenza Bronica S2 Medium Format camera with a Nikkor-H 1:3.5 f=5 cm lens using Kodak T-MAX 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Oops, I got turned around by interesting views of a freighter and Alcatraz Island. There is a bridge around there somewhere - - - now where did I misplace it??

Certainly an unusual subject, Scott, Bravo! First glance I thought it was a giant tank trap!!

Although I see the similarity of a tank trap, I don't think that sculptor, Marco di Suvero, had that in mind. It is an interesting outdoor gallery, indeed!

Nice picture of one of the most ugly monstrosities to grace a San Francisco beach :(

You are not alone in that sentiment. A significant number of local residents can not wait for the giant 'tiddlywinks' displays to be disassembled and Crissy Field given back to the public.
