No, but if I'd known ahead of time I could have met her there. I'm only about 1.5 miles away! Of course, I'd need my sunglasses. The last time I was there at night in was pitch black except for the small lamps under the station eaves and a couple of ordinary street lamps in the parking lot. ;-o

This is the coast starlight that runs the length of the West coast of the state's. It is a big one for sure for a passenger train. It's fun to ride.

For Pete's sake, did they have to use Klieg lights? ;-o That's just uncomfortable-looking! Anyway, good sweeping angle with the train, raingirl! I'm located to the right of the tracks as you stood there. ;-)

A great night image Laura. It looks strange not to have a raised platform here all stations have platforms

Thank you kindly. It was so much fun to see that much of the train - and the new lights (which the locals aren't too happy about), made the photo.

Thank you! This is classic west coast Amtrak passenger train. The bigger cities have real train stations, but many along the west coast route are like this (although not with the bright lights!). East coast is different.

Yes, they are 2 stories tall. We get extra swaying on the top floor.
