"The Venice of Drains"
This is St Saviour's Dock on the River Thames in London.

Charles Dickens once described it as one of the "filthiest and strangest localities hidden in London" and his newspaper called it "The Venice of Drains'. It is now one of the most desirable areas of London in which to have an apartment.
