Barge de Gand -- Replica of a tug-boat

Barge de Gand -- Replica of a tug-boat
Very typical for the Low-Lands I guess , a horse-drawn (in the best case) boat , there are still many tow-channels , and by law the tow-roads have to remain intact.

Minimal Zenit 11 with Helios 44-2.
Hand colored B+W

Home brewed R09 (1945 replica)

Christina Sonnenschein, Wolfgang Moersch have particularly liked this photo

Hey, great photo. Is a "Gallionsfigur" often seen on river boats?
The Treppelweg (tow road) both sides of the danube is also still intact, almost on the entire length of the river. It's for quite a distance used as a bicycle way nowadays, at least on side of the river.
Very paeceful mood in the picture, and extremely fine coloring. I neither have the patience nor the steady head for doing this.

Thanks Martin, not sure it was on the original .. tow roads - when biking we used them a lot (before old enough to drive a car) - like the railways most of the time the shortest way - On the Danube , not too much tide on such a river for towing (here it is on channels only )
