Such a beautiful place Jaap................and beautifully captured in this lovely series of photos, all well composed and presented. I love that you've given us close up views in the PiPs too.

We have an old English saying: "Betwixt and Between" which means not fully, or properly either of two things. Not too far off this villages older name :-)

Oh Jaap...what a gorgeous presentation! I love this collage with the enlargable insets. Really nice. All of your pictures are perfectly taken and so enticing. Would love to visit. I enjoyed reading about the history of Twisk's name as well as its meaning and the fact that it's now a sort of historical village where you can take a step back in time and get a real understanding of how it might have been once. Wonderful. Thank you for the show.

Your home page says, "Off to Geece"...heh...I'm going to guess you meant Greece but I have to tease you! :D Also, if indeed you are off on another trip, have a LOVELY TIME!!! I was in Greece in July of er...1986 or around then...heh...went on a crazy tourist trip through Europe for 21 days and discovered that blond boys were to be tossed by the wayside...Italy felled me with the gorgeous guys everywhere...and then Greece I met a guy who was a more handsome version of John Travolta and he was crazy about me...I thought I won the lottery! :D LOL, such a silly young lady I was, so new to the world! :D Can't wait to visit Greece again some day, this time with my camera and husband! :D
