Steph & Dom's place

Steph & Dom's place
People in the UK who have watched the television program Gogglebox will be familiar with the ‘posh’ couple Steph and Dom. I think I have seen them described as running a Bed & Breakfast. Well, this is their place.

But they don’t just sit on the sofa, watch TV and swig gin [or whatever]. The house is Salutation House and the gardens are known as The Secret Gardens of Sandwich. As the name suggests, the gardens lay untouched and overgrown for almost a quarter of a century. But after ten years’ hard work, along with true dedication and passion by the owners Dominic and Stephanie Parker, they are once more restored to former glory.

The Gardens are one of the few remaining examples of the collaboration between Sir Edwin Lutyens, who built The Salutation, and designed the garden layout in 1912, and Gertrude Jekyll, who was responsible for the planting programme.

Jean-pierre Dethor, Christina Sonnenschein, Richard Gawthorpe, homaris have particularly liked this photo

My sort of place, but on my pension I'll have to settle for the outhouse (Might even be the shed if deflation continues) LOL.
