Country Lanes

Country Lanes
There are numerous narrow country lanes in Kent, usually with high hedges on either side and precious few passing places. I often see lovely vistas I would love to stop and photograph but despite the apparent tranquillity of most areas there is always traffic on these lanes which makes it difficult to stop. Just after I took this photo and proceeded up the lane I met a truck coming the other way and had to reverse back down again. On my second attempt I met a tractor. My third move was to join them in going the other way.....

Frustrating, but still beautiful.

Thanks Don. Sometimes I shoot out of the open window of I see a good view but I know it would be inconsiderate to park in the road. I stop in seemingly the remotest of places and within a minute a vehicle comes along. Of course, hardly anywhere in Kent is really remote, just "off the beaten track".

A frustrating thing for me re photography is that I find the best times for taking photographs to be late in the day when things are slowing down, but when traveling that ends up being too narrow a time window.

Big problem that, missed so many shots because unable to stop near by. Lovely landscape just the same.
