Merman

Fence and entrance gate to the Old Royal Naval college in Greenwich. Adorning the gate is a 'merman' (I only discovered today that the french for it is 'triton', after the Greek god of the sea, son of Amphitrite and Poseidon). The buildings are home today to the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the UK's only conservatoire of music and contemporary dance... If you visit in the summer, and sit outside the open windows, you'll be treated to a very postmodern soundscape: students practising their opera vocals, along some other students tuning their wind instruments, others practising their piano scales and more... really worth it, it all merges into a really fascinating insight into what it takes to practice music, voice work etc.

East India Dock wall

East India Dock Basin is the largest remaining part of the early 19th century East India Docks complex. I am not sure whether the water levels numbers (I assume that is what they are) are in feet... HWW

Aqua Gill

One of many steampunk contraptions sprinkled around Trinity Buoy Wharf. This one has 'Aqua Gill' inscribed at the front... not sure if that is the name of the piece...
