Another selection of GMT coving and bulkhead posters. And now the Manchester Road services 8 and 524 are added to the list of services via Daubhill and Deane Road diversions, whilst the 578 and 580 services are extended and combined to become circulars, eventually becoming parts of a through route to Manchester which completely killed the reliability and hence patronage, whilst the 501 now extends into the Hospital grounds whilst the 505 remains the service serving Highfield Road. Nowadays the 501 continues through the Hospital and along Highfield Road through to Farnworth, increasing the journey time to town of the former 505 passengers and the once ½-hourly continuation to Ringley Bridge no longer operates as part of the 501. The 539, 541 and latterley the 515 were all basically short workings of the 540 Westhoughton route and provided Deane Road with something like a 5-minute frequency along with 615 an additional through route to Wigan, similar to the 515. Nowadays, there is an 8-minute 540 service since the Stagecoach takeover, with 515 and 715s still running, but one estate is no longer served whilst another is served by a tortuous speedramp riddled PTE tendered services not using Deane Road.
