He is sooo pretty. How tame are these, Gary? I mean, will they come and take a bite from your hand e.g., or would they take the whole hand as well? :)

Hi Levina, He is relaxed enough that I was able to take many of these pictures with a 100mm macro lens but I would say he is bold rather than tame. He has become a regular but unpredictable visitor and although he doesn't seem to be bothered by us, I don't think he would actually come to hand. We do put a little food down for him but I would rather he didn't directly associate us with the food as that could cause problems. It is obviously young and is of course still a wild predator (as the yawning pictures attest).

Interesting. Sensible reasoning about not wanting to establish a link between you and food. I think you're right in that that could cause problems later on. But he sure is beautiful and it must be great to be able to take such wonderful pictures of him. Thanks for the info, Gary.
