A frozen lake

A frozen lake
Last night was windless and cold, and the lake froze. Today it is like a mirror.

Amazing. Here in South Carolina, USA, we have warm temps almost year-round, so this would really be a freak moment in nature. We've only had once bona fide ice storm in the last decade - & that was pretty bad, because no one here was prepared for that kind of weather. It would be a similar shock to you if you had to endure 40F+ summer days ... but that is very common here. And the humidity is terrible too. I'd guess you don't have that problem ^^

The highest summer temperatures over here are about 25 - 30 C (77 - 86 F). The temperature seldom rises over 30 C. It can be rather humid when a thunder storm is brewing.

Wow. I would love to see your land. Um, you know, as a visitor, *in summer*, LOL. I guess this is why I have so many tanned BJDs. Right now we are having a freak cold spell - external temps dropped last night to about -12C (10F) which is almost unheard-of here. Temps seldom drop below freezing, & usually only in the first two weeks of February - which is when we have any semblance of "winter".
