79/365: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." ~ Confucius
Last year, Steve got the opportunity to work with the Southern Oregon Hispanic Yellow Pages to get them online, and found out they were looking for a graphic designer to redesign and take over their yellow pages book. I was so excited when they let me know I was exactly who they were looking for, and so, for the next several months, I got to change the look and feel of this 124-page publication, put together the various sections, and got everything finished well before the deadline! Steve took the picture of the courthouse you see on the cover, and melded the studio picture into the picture he took. I had such a wonderful time working on this project, and a couple of weeks ago, the project was printed and we got copies of our own! I'm so happy it turned out so well, and everyone was so pleased with my work! It's a joy to do something that's such fun and get paid for it too!
Confucius (551–479 BCE) was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher of the Spring and Autumn Period of Chinese history. The philosophy of Confucius emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity. His followers competed successfully with many other schools during the Hundred Schools of Thought era only to be suppressed in favor of the Legalists during the Qin Dynasty. Following the victory of Han over Chu after the collapse of Qin, Confucius's thoughts received official sanction and were further developed into a system known as Confucianism. Wikipedia: Confucius
