Thanks Keith, capturing the character is what we all try to achieve with a portrait, some subjects make it easier than others!

What a character. What a GREAT portrait. Perfect composition, love the tip of the hat, the capture of his expression, thinking about what's got him laughing so hard!

Ok, I have a request!!! I have always idolized Marilyn Monroe...are you one of the lucky ones who's gotten her picture?? Wait...no, I can answer that question. You were 24 when you got your first camera and she died in '62, so you didn't take her picture. Ok...how about Elvis? He passed away in '77 and you were on the photography payroll for 4 yrs by that time...did you have the pull to get close to that guy?! Of course, by that time he was huge, a hopeless addict, and hating his life. So sad...I would have loved to have met him in the prime of his life--what a powerhouse. So many of us have wondered, what would a child of Marilyn and Elvis been like?! *sigh*...a demigod I imagine! :D

Thanks Janet, I wish I had photo's of both Elvis and Marilyn, sadly Victoria was never on their list of cities to visit. I've only seen photo's of them, taken by other people. I started shooting photo's in '71 for the newspaper, Elvis was doing extensive touring then after his comeback ('68 - '73). Elvis/Marilyn, hmmm, never though of that...

Aw, too bad on missing Elvis, but small loss, you've gotten the chance to photograph so many others! :D
