Northern Snake Range and Mt. Moriah

Looking north from the cirque below Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park, Nevada. US 6/50 runs thru the obvious pass (Sacramento Pass) between here and the northern part of the range. Mt. Moriah (12,072 ft/3680 m), the high peak on the far skyline to the left, is the centerpiece of the eponymous wilderness area and the highest point in the northern Snake Range. It's the 5th highest peak in Nevada.
The road across the forested ridge in the middle distance leads to the Wheeler Peak trailhead and upper campground in Great Basin National Park.
