Toiyabe Crest Trail, Toiyabe Range, Nevada, USA
Narrow, and carved out of a steep slope, thru here. This trail was built by the CCC in the mid-30s. It seems a curious endeavor--the area is still remote enough that (according to reports) much of the trail away from the trailheads now involves serious route-finding, due to route deterioration from the absence of traffic. And the area was _really_ remote ca. 1935! The Toiyabes deserve it, though--it's one of the longest and highest ranges (peaks >11K feet) in Nevada, and right in the center of the state. The trail would be much better known if it were in Utah or California!
