Edwin Hellyer (Grandson of Edwin Maximilian Hellyer) and Jennie Smith, 1908
Marriage of Edwin David Hellyer and Jennie Smith, August 19, 1908, West Ham, Essex, England.
Edwin David was born in Mile End Old Town, Middlesex in 1878 to Sidney Thompson Hellyer and his first wife, Emma Whitlock. He lived in Essex most of his life. He married Jennie Smith b 6 Feb 1883, in 1908. They had one child John Edwin Hellyer (known as Jack) b. July-1909.
Edwin was noted on the census as being a Hardware Clerk and was then a tank maker (I guess during the war). He died in Billericay in 1966.
Jack married Winifred Vera Pearmain (b 3 August 1911) in April-June 1936. Jack was a bank manager his whole life but was based in Hawaii or the Bahamas during the 2nd world war – not sure what he was doing out there. He had 3 boys, Colin, Roger and Clive (Sarah Hellyer's father). Neither Colin nor Roger have any children, but both are married. Colin was a bank manager but is now retired and Roger was the Musical Director for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Clive was a pilot in the RAF, until he retired about 20 years ago. He Is now living in Cornwall. Sarah has two sisters, 4 nieces and 1 nephew. The eldest sister, Emma lives in Strasbourg, France and works for the European Council. Jules (Julianne) b. 1969 the middle sister, is an Optician also living in Cornwall. Sarah is in Finance. Her parents married in Jan 1966 and were together until her mother (Kay Best Hellyer) died in 2003.

And I almost missed the women in the background! Looks like she's pointing or waving.
