Family Outing

Family Outing
I love double headers! Here is a photograph that fits this week's Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of "Signs" with a family posing in front of a Mount Washington sign, AND it's also a shoo-in for my Vintage Miserable Family group!
Mount Washington is in New Hampshire, and had the first mountain climbing cog railway - first ride was in 1868. The cog railway is still in operation.
Found photo. Burlington, VT 2016

It is strange that he has a boat. I don't think I've ever heard of a lake on the mountain, but perhaps there is. Thank you for your visit!

Yes, a big sign and a nicely miserable bunch for my group. : )

The gift shop must have been sold out of souvenir t-shirts. What a rich old photo. So many interesting expressions to wonder about. I know Mt. Washington is renown for having the worst weather conditions in the country, maybe that's what spoiled their day. And I get the distinct feeling that the petite woman truly does not want her photo taken.
