Ford Anglia 1ooE

Ford Anglia 1ooE
A rusty old Ford Anglia at the Vulture City Gold Mine Museum near Wickenburg, Arizona.
The 100E model was produced from 1953 to 1959.
This one is left side drive (not for England) and appears, by the headlight surrounds, to be made between late 1957 and 1959.

Eeek, my nemesis! Had one of these from 1966-68. I think it was about a 1960. It took many "work-arounds" to get it started, shifted, stopped and so on. I became an expert double-clutcher, ether-sprayer, shifting rod-jammer and overheated engine-cooler. I won't even talk about the holes in the floorboard, broken handles and knobs, ripped plastic upholstery and cracked dashboard. I can still smell the plastic and oil and hear the occasional backfire. Don't know how it got into such horrible shape in just a few years.

Oddly enough, I still think fondly of that rattle-trap!
