Hummingbird
Baby hummingbird just about ready to leave it's nest.
It managed to stay in the nest through a dust storm the night before.

Yes they make the nests with all kinds of plant fibers and sometimes man made fibers then bind it all together with spider webs. I often see them collecting the webs.
Timing isn't difficult. I see them fairly often here and occasionally one will hover just a few feet away as if it is observing me.
I don't have any pics of their eggs yet, but they look like tiny white jellybeans about the size of raisins.
