'Basic' Watchmakers Lathe

'Basic' Watchmakers Lathe
This is the way it is set up for 90% of the time I would use it. It would be clamped in a base, mounted on the workbench when in use.
The headstock (the large part on the left) is a 'modern' Boley one that I got for the lathe as the original one's bearings finally got too badly worn to be used anymore.
That will have been in the early 1980's.
The 'bed'- the bar that everything else runs on is 10 inches long.
There's still a lot of the original grey paint on it. Not like modern paint that tends to fall off shortly after it has dried.
That 'cord' on the left is the drive belt for running it from a variable speed foot controlled motor.
