Ochrolechia parella

Ochrolechia parella
This is a lichen that grows on rocks. Mostly I see it near the shore and on cliffs, but it does get further away from the shore.
It's very firm to the touch. The 'lumps' vary in size, but the largest stay in the 2 or 3mm range.
It usually starts out as a small round patch, and as it spreads out it takes over whole areas of rock.
I didn't noticed the wee red bug when I took the pic (see note).
