Mystery Train

Mystery Train
I'm not the biggest Elvis fan, but I did like several of his songs including this one: "Mystery Train"

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_eE0NPArEY

"Train, train comin' 'round, 'round the bend,
Train, train comin' 'round, 'round the bend.
Well it took my baby,
But it never will again, no not again.

Train, train comin' down the line,
Train, Train comin' down the line.
Well, it's bringin' my baby,
'Cause she's mine, all, all mine
She's mine, all, all mine."

*(For Sight and Sound group)

I really like the perspective, all those lines on the ground and in the sky, the lamps etc. Goes well with the song.......and would also have done well for the 'vanishing point' challenge

Thanks so much, Judith; I'm just glad I could get something posted that went with an Elvis song, lol! :-)

isn't it hilarious, to blame the train for taking away your darling....;-(
and then, after a short while, to thank that same train for bringing her back ....;-)

Hahaha, yes, you're right! But I have to assume some length of time went by between the going and coming, lol!

Cool shot and a favorite Elvis song of mine. I used to play in a Rockabilly - Elvis band a few years ago. We combined Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues and Mystery Train into one song and it worked great and went over very very well. I should have some recordings of it if you want to hear it. For all I know that might be what I'm playing on my avatar photo! ;-)
Valfal has replied to Mr. Low Notes
Wow, that's so cool! I can definitely see where Folsom Prison Blues and Mystery Train make a good medley! I would love to hear you play it! My son is also a musician; he plays guitar and writes his own music, too.

Mystery Train is one of those Elvis songs that I probably have heard before but never attributed to him. At any rate, it is definitely one of my new faves from his playlist :-)

Thanks for your comment and fave!

Super Val!

This was also one of my choices, we have an old steam train down in the shunting yard where I took those other railway pictures, and every time I have heard it whistle this week, I have jumped in my car and raced down there, only to find it chugging off in the distance and out of shot!

Valfal has replied to PaulOClassic©
Thanks, PaulO! Wow, wouldn't it have been fantastic if you got the shot of that old train; maybe someday, right? ;-)

Thanks so much, Bev! What is it about trains that compel many people to create songs about them? Moreover, why do I like most of the songs written about trains??
beverleyplaya has replied to Valfal
perhaps it is our past ;-) when there were not so many vehicles around
as people could not afford them and trains were the mode of transport
most used apart from trams and buses ... but then again .. do we hear
many songs about trams and buses ;-))) so that knocks that one on
the head .... snzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ;-))))
