Despite the name, this obelisk is much earlier than Cleopatra. According to the plaque, it was originally erected at Heliopolis in 1600 BC, then moved by the Romans to Alexandria in 12 BC. It was given to New York by the Khedive of Egypt and erected in Central Park in 1881. Pentax K-3, SMC Pentax 30mm f/2.8 lens.
