the slobber is from Marlo's victory head chomp. he was such a good boy, called right off the coyote like a champ.

Wow, that's impressive. My two would keep going i'm sure, thinking it's another dog! lol He looks pretty pleased with himself.

if it had been anything smaller (cat or rabbit) Murphy probably wouldn't have called off. they're his kryptonite :) he's definitely not a cat killer, though...he lays on my mom's cat when he catches him, lol

matea would have finished that coyote ... would have totally played her "deaf" card and never head the whistle. she's got a hate-on for coyotes after one almost got away with merrick.

i always think of that story of Merrick taking off after the coyote and Matea saving him whenever i see coyotes while we're walking. i'm think Marlo would pretty much demolish a coyote, too. she's not one to start fights, but she sure as hell finishes them. Murph, i'm not sure about either. i think he was just chasing for fun :)

Wow. Blue has a thing about coyotes - when I visit my parents they will try to lure dogs to the pack - one kept crossing in front of us, teasing Blue....he nearly broke free of me and when we turned the corner there was the pack. I high tailed it back to the house. I did not exist in Blue's world that entire time!

i've heard that they'll do that. lure one out and then the whole pack attacks. that's pretty scary! luckily Blue probably has quite a bit of weight and speed on them. you have to wonder what dogs think of coyotes!
