Thanks, Scott. I decided to shoot this place again, after noticing the owner had something new in the windows (POW flag , the last time).

I like this angle as well. Bringing the adjacent buildings into the scene; make the subject much more dynamic.

This seemed to be the only reasonable shot, other than repeating the exact framing when I was last here. I kind of have a thing for those telephone poles. Perhaps you've noticed ; )

(Also, it's a safe distance. The guy is a Libertarian, at least. Who knows if he has a stockpile of weapons as well?)

Do people in SF just make it a point to match colors exactly, or are you just that persistent in finding them?
Christopher Hall has replied to Dan Watson
It's uncanny how often the matching colors turn up.I'm almost in disbelief myself.

It's kind of nice here. i like it, hope today's momentum keeps rolling.

I'm enjoying this pace a little better actually. Not as rushed. I don't even mind the sometimes slow speeds. It's about the same as flickr if you want to be OCD and time it. I'd never do that. Well maybe. Just a couple of times ;D

Christopher Hall has replied to Jan Normandale
"Not as rushed" is key. All other things being equal, I always felt like I did a terrible job keeping up with everyone on Flickr, and never could manage to simply pare down my contacts to levels where I could keep up. I used to spend a lot more time on line, too. Anyway, I'm optimistic that this is a better pace/place for me.

I think there is a law about colors of cars and houses in SF.

Christopher Hall has replied to drive-by
The color matching is rather frequent in San Francisco, for some reason.

btw anybody around who tells me where to find the fav button?

Christopher Hall has replied to drive-by
The fave button is up on the right, just above my photo and name.

I saw this thumbnail and said to myself that could only be San Francisco . . . possibly Daly City / Colma. I used to live in the fog belt . . . :)

Christopher Hall has replied to Daniel Howard
Hi Daniel, this is out in the Sunset District. Almost Daly City ; )

Hey Karl, just tried to send you a message, but not sure how/if it works here. Comments don't seem to be enabled on your photos here. I wanted to say so on that bus shot, but can't comment.

Hey Chris, thanks for letting me know! I'll see if I can figure out what is wrong there!

I like your angles, I'm pretty sure I would shoot closer to keep the blue house only in frame, but I would have been wrong... I learn a lot from your photos.

Christopher Hall has replied to El Gato Negro
Thank you. I shot this previously, exactly as you describe. But there are a few new details that recently appeared, so it was time to try a different approach.

Great image. While your skill and ability to capture the subject is fantastic, I am with others who are constantly impressed by the color coordination.

Christopher Hall has replied to photofixpdx
Thanks. There have been suggestions these are staged, they're not. It's come to a point where I find it so often that I can't always quite believe it myself.

Just noticed the flag on a second look. Half surprised the guy didn't color coordinate that as well.

Christopher Hall has replied to Karl Gunnarsson
He changes the "message" in his window from time to time, I haven't yet seen a color coordinated one, alas.

If there isn't already a 'colour sensitive cars'-group here, this Photo should be reason enough to found one.

Christopher Hall has replied to Seltene Erden
That's a good idea. maybe i should make a chameleon car group.

Seeing this on the Ipernity version of 'Explore' (which on Flickr I avoided like the plague) has really reassured me: it is just an impeccable photo, not some super-saturated great thumbnail!
Christopher Hall has replied to Tim A
Agreed, the Flickr Explore page can be a mess of over saturated HDR traumas. Thank you for your comment.

He's a bit of an outlier being in the SF area. He's got a great sense of color.

Yeah, probably only 7 votes in all of SF for Ron Paul in the last election, one from this guy.
