Citroën C4 - 17 April 2021
2021 Citroën C4 (Caramel Brown).
Historically, Citroën cars were distinctively quirky, externally and internally. In recent years, the external styling has become much more mainstream especially with so many manufacturers adopting similar styling cues. The C5 Aircross is the best car I have owned in 45 years but in the new C4, the French marque appears to have missed more than a few tricks. The outside is, in my opinion, extremely attractive although the rear aerofoil serves no obvious purpose other than to obstruct vision. The heavily raked rear windscreen does not have a wiper, a serious omission.
Inside and on the other side of a high sill, there are a number of irritations especially when one is used to a different cockpit and knows that the manufacturer can do better.
