Such is the prominence in the public mind of the Routemaster that the AEC Regent (RT and variants thereof) in London Transport service is less well remembered outside enthusiast circles and that, I think, is a shame. Nearly 7000 of the type were built, the majority by AEC. RT1808 has a Park Royal body and was in service from 1950 to 1976.
