Hawker Hunter 'WT720' (7) - 7 July 2018

This Hawker Hunter F.51, marked WT720, arrived at Daedalus, Lee on Solent by low loader on Friday 6 July and was taken to Unit 67B. The beautiful evening light of the following day was ideal for photography.

It was originally E-408 of the Royal Danish Air Force. For a fuller history you can do no better than to read the entry on the excellent Thunder & Lightnings website.

This picture also offers a glimpse of the last surviving SRN4 hovercraft 'The Princess Anne', awaiting restoration, at the Hovercraft Museum.
