Gromit Unleashed (10) - 29 June 2013

'Gromit Unleashed' is a public art event to be held in Bristol over the summer of 2013. It is in aid of the Bristol Childrens Hospital. 80 Gromits around Bristol and further afield have been decorated by celebrities and will be auctioned at the end of the event. Following my document of the Marriott Gromit, I was pleased as I was leaving the hotel to be shown the nearby College Green installation. This example is 'Poetry in Motion decorated by Joanna Lumley. Unfortunately, I was soon feeling a little sick as this piece which is intended for all to enjoy had not survived Friday night intact. The tail had been ripped off and the Please Do Not Climb placards damaged and one removed. This photograph shows the extent of the damage.
