Spotted this little scene while driving to a dog walk. I stopped on the way back and asked if I could take a few shots. Didn't mind at all. This is one of a series of shots taken during our hour long chat.

Having just tried to take some 'stranger shots' I wasn't as brave as you and asked them for their co-operation - well done you! I am glad that this did not spoil the shot with him posing for the camera rather than the pose that you have captured of a rather relaxed, melancholy human being. The scene is rather busy and it takes a while to see his world. I like the scattered beer cans - it must be a tough life on the road! Overall, this seems like a very genuine shot, unposed and all the better for it. Thanks for posting to In My Opinion.

I think this is a good documentary shot , the scene is busy , but is what it is , hats off to you for chilling out with this Guy , something I tend not to do often but should do more of , as you probably found during this , a better shot attained through human interaction , well done

Wonderful image!! Excellent detail, lighting and color. You have done a great job in telling the story of this man's life by just this photo. All the different things he is caring to help him get through the day as it must be a hard life. Just noticed the animal behind him but I am not sure what it is. The other one is a goat right? Great Job!!

Hi John - thanks for your visit. The reason he stopped off at this spot was he'd noticed the lush grass across the road that would feed his ponies for two or three days.
