o0o plastic is such a nuisance and yet was heralded at the time as
being so worthwhile ... now ... we cannot wait to get rid of it here
and have everything biodegrable ... thats great but what do we
do with this stuff that has been around for how long !!!!!!!!!! and will
no doubt outlive us too oOo

Don't know. Burying it won't help either since in the end it seems like these things have a way of resurfacing again.

I'd say the answer was to educate people but some seem to be beyond even that and think the world is their own private dump.

Until the sewage treatment plant in the Boston Harbor was replaced, there was a beach in which overflow from the old plant would wash ashore. It was absolutely disgusting. Now things are so much better. Psychologically, I still do not want to go into the water anywhere near there, even though it has been cleaned up.
