October Seven

October Seven
I have never fully moved into this apartment. It has been a little over a year. Mondays are usually a challenge. No different today. So I took some time to do a little unpacking.

Which is always enlightening. Sometimes a bit dangerous. In these wanderings I came upon a table I made for school at some point. It compares and contrasts various developmental models: needs, cognition, psychosocial, three moral models, and two models of stages of Being.

I liked how at the upper left corner is "physiological survival" and at the bottom right corner is Bernard Lonergan's final stage of Being expressed as "human consciousness at its fullest in which the subject exists and his/her character, [their] personal essence, is at stake."

We aren't fully alive and whole until tested. Until who we Are is threatened.
