That was a gift I received from a good friend from Canada who did not realize that this radio-controlled wrist watch would not work properly in the Czech Republic, i.e. that they would work as an ordinary watch and not as radio-controlled one. So if you live in North America, approximately up to 600-2000 miles from Fort Collins you can read further.

Rules are simple - to master Esperanto basics:

  1. You have been a member of Ipernity for some time so I can see your contributions
  2. You have not contributed anything in Esperanto so I can believe you do not speak this language
  3. You honestly assure me that you have never learned Esperanto
  4. You will complete the 12 lessons of Kurso de Esperanto till the end of this year
You either have to get a tutor for this course (it is free) to prove that you have mastered the lessons or you will have to prove your knowledge by a real-time chat with me. I suppose I will require the latter in any case. Actually I do not insist on the Kurso de Esperanto itself, it is just a suggestion, you can choose a different way to master the basics of Esperanto... If there are more people to fulfill the task till the end of the year I will have to either decide by lots or to make some contest. I do not expect this to happen and here I am open to any suggestions. In any case all of you will receive some smaller gifts advisedly selected to represent Esperanto and/or the Czech culture. If no one fulfills the task by the end of the year, the watch will be immediately given to the first one whenever it happens.

Please post a comment here for reference in case you start learning

Sorry for posting this offer to the group Best of the Week, however it is one of the few with "contest" in its description and the only one with sufficient number of members. If you know a better group please tell me, though I will be gratefull if you keep this doc in your group for a while! Thanks. And feel free to participate if you can...

I have replaced the first two too restricting rules with a simple trusting requirement and published the stuff in www.en-gb.pledgebank.com
