Frozen river 


This is the North Saskatchewan river, just west of Edmonton. Quite a peaceful scene just a few minutes away from the city.

Looks great out there John! Years ago the Grand Canal in Dublin used to freeze over and people would ice-skate but that hasn't happened for some time now. It just rains all the time now, not unlike Vancouver! Some ice would be great!

It looks smooth from here, but it's a rough surface with many thin spots. If you fall through, they wouldn't find you for months.
