F-4 PHANTOM II of the Turkish Air Force.

F-4 PHANTOM II of the Turkish Air Force.
The F-4 Phantom II is a living legend when it comes to combat aeroplanes, now only in service with a few militaries around the world after fist rising to fame during the Vietnam conflicts of the 1960’s and 1970’s as a potent fighter and bomber. Now reduced to a single operational squadron, the F-4E in Turkish service has been updated via the 2020 Terminator upgrade which has given then brand new capabilities. The upgrade included a full wiring replacement, a 750kg weight reduction increasing air to air capability, new avionics, and new radar plus state of the art Israeli computers- resulting in an ability to carry modern weapons and targeting pods.
This aeroplane was painted in livery celebrating the 70th anniversary of the formation of NATO.
