There's always dogs on the beach, and even though they are supposed to be on-leash, this dog is having a good day.

Well, the heron took off, and I missed most of his wing, but I still love how his feet dangle.

We have a beautiful sunny day, so went down to take photos at one of our beaches. These Arbutus trees certainly lean into the wind!

Spent yesterday morning with photo friends at the ocean's edge, it was cold and had that sad, forlorn look of a scene waiting for the sun to arrive. The barbed wire didn't add any joy to the scene.

This is one of those chance photos that happen so quickly, and you usually wish you'd taken the shot two seconds earlier, when the walker would have been inside the oncoming headlights, but there it is.

I have a new photo editing program, so had fun playing with the effects, I like the golden light.

I usually don't know when to stop, so this is weird, but I like the 'film noir' look this effect creates. This is the second photo I took of the same man, and I think it's my favourite composition.
