light and shadow

fluttering swallows

fluttering swallows

The afternoon sun, filtering through the canopy of one of our trees, paints fantastic shapes on our wall.

I saw a bouquet of flowers in the shadowy shapes, but I like Judite's "reading" of the image as a flight of swallows (see her comment below) far better! I would love it if people told me what they "see" here - and don't worry, it's not a Rorschach's test :)))

Converted to black and white. In low light conditions my camera tends to reproduce shadows in a bluish tinge. It looked ok even that way, but a bit unnatural, so I converted it.
Thank you for your kind comment, HappySnapper. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

Gracias, Anton. Una ligera brisa movia a penas las hojas en los arboles. Creo que esto haya creado los diseños en varios tonos de gris, un efecto que me llamó la atención.
Un feliz domingo a ti también, Anton!

Thank you, George. I liked that the breeze was moving the leaves, so some of the shadows are a lighter grey. Hope you are having a nice week and sorry for the belated reply.
