five years

...ago.

even when you were lying there hooked up to the respirator with half of your head shaved and metal clamps holding together the gash running from your ear to almost the top of your head, even when the days went by in slow motion and it became impossible to escape the stench of Hospital, even then. even when i stroked your cheek telling you about my day holding onto your lifeless hand, even when the old man next to you woke up and the relief on his wife's face produced a lump in my throat when she smiled at me, even then. even when the doctor told us you might not remember or recall, even when he told us you might have lost your speech, even then i knew. i knew because you are my mother.

My dear friend.
In these days, when you are thinking, you can´t go on,when you are thinking, that life is not to stand anymore, when none of the words that others to you say can console you in any way and when the circumstances hurt you that much, that you think you must die, just to escape..in these days I wish you strengh and something that helps in your situation, what ever that will be.
If you ever would like to talk,I´ll be here for you..!

Oh, MacKey, she also knows as you know, because you are her daughter. Speak to her, never stop speaking to her or holding her hand. She may not respond, but she hears, she does hear, and your voice will be everything to her.

the power of Love and Devotion can not only help heal physical trauma, but it also goes much deeper than any physician's hands can go. without your touch, she surely would have suffered much more. a spiritual bond like the one between you and your Mother is something we all hope to share with someone during our short stay here on Earth.
i hope she is recovering well five years after... and i hope you both remember and continue to cultivate and nourish the connection that you share...

A beautiful expression of true love. She knows, MacKey, and she loves you. A mother's love never dies.

....I have no words to comfort you, MacKey...since 5 years now you know what is the suffering of a silent love and you teach us the way to live with it through this impressive tribute to your mother...

An amazing and touching anecdote. I feel your pain and your joy of relief as well in what you wrote so beautifully. I am glad it has a happy ending, and that is the most important part, babe. *big kiss*
