Ordre des Éphéméroptères (Ephemeroptera)

* Les éphémères ont une vie de 1 ou 2 jours au stade adulte, mais ils vivent plusieurs mois ( parfois 2 ans ) dans l'eau à l'état larvaire.
* Ces insectes sont une importante source de nourriture pour les animaux aquatiques.
* On pourrait les confondre avec certains hyménoptères, mais leur corps est plus mou et les antennes sont très petites.
