Lisbon Antiga

"Lisboa Antiga" (Portela - Galhardo - Vale) is a 1937 Portuguese song place on vinyl by Lisbon native Herminia Silva.

Nat King Cole's manager heard a version of the tune played by an orchestra while in Mexico and brought it to the attention of Nelson Riddle. The popular pianist, trombonist, composer, bandleader, arranger and orchestrator took the cover "Lisbon Antigua" to the top of Billboard's charts in 1956.
