Rail Photos, Part 2
I recently discovered that iPernity allows albums of over 1000 photos, but doesn't allow users to edit them. Therefore, I've made this new album.
Old Linka 011, Picture 4, Prague, CZ, 2010

This is one of the bridges on the old line, crossing Husitska, which if I'm not mistaken I saw trins running over in my early years of living in Prague. For that matter, I'm fairly certain that I've been over it many times on trains.

This is a shot I got from the old bridge on the old Linka 011. Obviously, when I saw the chance for a shot of the Pendolino I didn't turn it down.
Pendolino On the New Linka 011 Seen from The Old 1…

This is a crop of the previous shot, illustrating the advantages of film, although I feel like I could have focused it better. I'm a little bit skeptical about the adjustment of the eyepiece of my camera (it adjusts to your glasses prescription, and I don't know how to set it 100% right).
Steps by Old Linka 011, Prague, CZ, 2010
This is a concrete staircase that I'm fairly sure is of new construction, that helps hikers and bikers on the old Linka 011 bike trail to climb further up Vitkov (or whatever mountain this is).

This is as far as I hiked on this trip, as far as Cajirna nad Vokem, a tea house that now has an entrance on the ex-rail line. I don't know if it predates the conversion of the line, but now it is well integrated with it.
DPP #8744 On Hybernska, Prague, CZ, 2010
This is a shot that I took walking back towards Hlavni Nadrazi from Linka 011, on Hybernska. This shot is heavily edited, because the negative was damaged in scanning. I think it looks alright now. This is Tatra T6A5 #8744.
Tram in Window of U Jeleni, Picture 2, Prague, CZ,…

This is a shot that I got from U Jeleni, which is a pub up near Prazky Hrad, although it's actually next to the Husinecka tram stop, hence this shot of a Tatra T3 out the window.
DPP #6102 at Husinecka, Prague, CZ, 2010
This is, if I'm not mistaken (the crappy cameraphone picture can't prove it for sure), #6102, the Tatra T3 that DPP have chosen to keep in original condition for charters. It was one of several vintage transit vehicles from the Prague Transport Museum which were running excursions on this particular day.

This is a closer view of the unrebuilt T3, but still the number is unreadable. Like I said, I'm 90% certain it's 6102.
Tram Track Construction in Andel, Prague, CZ, 2010

This summer has seen massive renovations on the DPP tram tracks. I took this shot in Andel.
City Elefant in Praha Hlavni Nadrazi, Prague, CZ,…
I'm not sure why I opted to keep this shot. It's a bit too blurry to fully satisfy me, but I think the combination of the trainshed and the City Elefant, even if I can't read the number, combined with the passengers on the left, makes for a nice scene. This was as I was waiting for my train to Brno.

I also spotted the Pendolino, or rather #682003-9, one of several Pendolino tilt trains on Ceske Drahy, sitting in another platform.

This was a closeup I did to get the number. I guess it can be left up to the viewer to decide if this one is any good. I think the lightpost blocks the view of the nose too much, but I decided to include this one anyway.
View Out the Back of a Eurocity, Pardubicky Kraj,…
This photo was meant to accompany a video I shot out the back of the train going something like 150-160 Km/h (90-100 m.p.h.), but unfortunately the camera malfunctioned (see my blog), so this is what I'm left with. Hopefully I'll have a chance to do another video soon.

This is Pardubice Hlavni Nadrazi, in Pardubice, regional capital (if that's the right word) for Pardubicky Kraj, on the border between Bohemia and Moravia.

And....this was a Class 151 that I caught in one of the platforms. I didn't change trains here, though, so I had to get it from inside my own train.
PKP #EU07-446, Pardubice, Pardubicky Kraj, Bohemia…
I've increasingly been noticing PKP (Polish Railways) electric locomotives venturing into the Czech Republic lately, although I don't know very much about them. I saw this one sitting in a siding in Pardubice, an unlikely location for a foreign locomotive to be parked since few international services originate or terminate in Pardubice.

There are actually several towns in the Czech Republic called Brandys. Yesterday I posted a photo of the town square in Brandys nad Labem, but this is the train station in Brandys nad Orlici, in Pardubicky Kraj.
