Loch Tummel from "Queen's View"

Loch Tummel from "Queen's View"
The Queen’s View in Perthshire overlooks Loch Tummel and is said to have been named after Queen Victoria, following her visit to the area in 1866. As well as a stunning viewpoint overlooking the loch and beyond to the iconic Schiehallion, the area offers a range of woodland walks suitable for all abilities.

One of the most photographed areas in Scotland. However, it has also been suggested that the view was in fact named after King Robert the Bruce’s wife, Queen Isabella of Scotland, over 550 years earlier

Terrific view and shot! I presume Queen Victoria but I could be wrong! Macbeth's queen, perhaps?

Thanks Andy, it is indeed a spectacular view but not sure exactly which Queen can claim it was named after her. Part of the mystery!

Glad you liked it, Elaine

Thanks Doug, I can't claim any glory for the composition, it was just there looking stunning and a little bit of sunshine did the rest. If I was any good at "stitching" I would have taken more shots to show the full scene.
