Mother and baby (3 days old)

A lovely shot of a working horse with a new foal. I saw a couple of horses like this a couple of weeks ago when they were towing chains in order to control bracken.

Perhaps he is now the most photographed horse in the village! They live next to the river, and the public footpath through their field is clearly visible..So very popular with the locals.

It is a great shot really!!
Now the baby is three days old! It is beginning its life, and looks very peaceful and safely with its mother at the moment!

As you know, I had taken a walk here, and spent a while with the camera. Of course I had seen the baby on Thursday, so I knew he was here... He looked so very happy and contented, even running a few steps to stretch his legs. Then back to his mother!!!
Then a walk down the river bank, stopping at a bench just past the gate, and again in the park...
