... another newsworthy shot ...

... I have been thinking: Hurricane Irma was Category 4 blasting through the Florida Keys, but then weakened pretty quickly to Category 2 along the west Florida coast ... bad enough, but it had stayed Category 4 up around Tampa Bay area, how much worse the damage would have been ...

Hi Wally, Yes you are correct, this storm did stay a STRONG storm for a long time, it really messed up the Islands of the Caribbean sea, the Florida Keys, State of Florida and on up into Georgia... and indeed would have been more catastrophic had it remained a 4 !! thanks for dropping by and fro your comment,,,,

Thanks Doug, yes we had teams of Utility Trucks/ equipment coming in from all over the US, to help our two local Utility Companies, : Georgia Power Company, and our local Rural Electric Power Company, ( where our son is an Engineer) All power in our area is now back on we hear!! Our local City workers now have the task of clearing and picking up all the debrie from our streets as residents clean up and place limbs, leaves and other debrie out near the street at their homes, as we have done!! The have their hands full!! greetings, Sarah
