Often a beaching place for seals, and lots of them, but not at this hour, or this day.
On the Godrevy / Hell's Mouth stretch of coast path and very popular with walkers and families (there is a huge car park, sadly - and a huge sandy beach behind me).

Without my notes to this shot, stolen unexpectedly by Google, I'm afraid I no longer have the details of the artist and related info. Very sorry and not a little bit annoyed!
UPDATE on 11/04/18: Thanks to ipernity member, Jim Kerslake, I can now name the artist and the piece:

Many thanks, Jim!

Las Machotas, from near the village of Peralejo, Madrid Province.
She wouldn't then. She doesn't now. I respect that. Of course. It doesn't matter that I don't understand it. 5 years on and I have accepted it!
Mar de Cristal Metro Station, Madrid

Typical of the Madrid metro designs in its great expansive phase from about 1995 to the onset of the recession and, deliberately over-edited by me, this represents a positive, thrusting, energetic attitude that faltered somewhat when the recession struck. However the legacy has left a metro network that, in large parts. exudes a dynamic upbeat feel that is very seductive.
It still needs to be paid for, however!

Accidental shot on the Madrid metro. But I was pleased that I had polished my shoes that morning!
It's like your Mum making sure you always had clean underwear on 'because, you never know, you might be hit by a bus'!!!!

There is a logical explanation for this sculpture which was noted on my Pano upload of this shot but which was stolen by Google and I can't now remember what it is!
Anyway I find the effect quite surreal!

Coastal Erosion at Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath, Cornwall. Not the cleverest place to stand and take a shot, I grant you!

Not advisable to dawdle too close to the crumbly edge here! I walk by here about once every two years (at one time 3-4 times a week when I lived here!), and am constantly surprised by how much land has disappeared each time! Not too long ago, I could have walked across to the promontory from here in a straight line!).
There is an old tin mine entrance on the far island (storm erosion has washed away what would have been an obvious approach to the entrance, I suspect).
La Cabrera granite. PLEASE STAY, DON'T RUN AWAY!!!

A hot August day, but cooler than the streets of Madrid below! Fabulous walking and scrambling country!

Cornish cliff granite can be as fun as the granite I find in La Sierra de Guadarrama, Central Spain, for scrambling around in!

La Sierra de La Cabrera

Granite outcrops on the ridge, overlooking the eponymous town. No vultures on this day - I had intended to get some shots. Oh well!
And yes. I took the few steps to the end you see here. But I had put my camera back in my pocket and felt that I needed both hands for stability and so that is where my camera remained!
Anyway, this vantage-point is better!
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Rock window (perhaps hopefully onto a brighter future for us all?).
The way I took (not a path at all really) went under this rock. Very common to have a giant boulder wedged over a gully in granite country!
Granite forms on Pena del Tejo, a little to one side of La Sierra de La Cabrera proper but terrific scrambling territory in its own right. Indeed I spent a whole day here, intending to move on to the main ridge but finding a day's worth of interest at this place, including the mountain stream close-ups I sometimes post. photo taken 2012 and first posted on ipernity in 2017.
Still guarding the pass. An old friend.
