North Cliffs

Looking from Porthcadjack, past Basset Cove and Crane Islands, to Greenbank Cove, my low tide coastal route in reverse.
This is closer to high tide than low tide which is why I'm on the high path rather than following the shore line!

At low tide I walk the length of coastline you see here - in either direction. It's great fun rock-hopping and occasionally wading through pools etc. It takes 1.5 hours (or more if you stop to take photos or just admire the scenery!)

Half an hour after this shot was taken, you would never have known it had been like this. The sun finally came out on the first of August and the families returned to the beaches and all was right with the world!

Note the hollows around the young (and therefore vulnerable to drought) fruit trees. All household waste water is usefully disposed of here. ... And this Spring has been exceptionally dry.
