Striking image Andy with that tobacco tone.

Thank you Maurice! Yes, I have exaggerated the tone a little but actually not by all that much! Anyway I didn't use any filters (my trusty Nokia N95 cameraphone - a much better camera than a phone by the way!), and this was into the partially obscured sun, so Google's very basic editing tool had to help me here!.

All I can say it matches the theme very nicely when I think sometimes the colour of the ore that's was mined.

In Pano I had another editing tool and you may have seen this there, although I don't think so.
Yes, I have posted dozens of other shots of this iconic place, but I was never satisfied with it until now, so I didn't post it.

A lovely image, Andy. I have to wonder how many of these derelict pumping houses are along that coast. The area must have been a hive of activity in the mining days.

Thanks George!
Between 1750 and 1870, Cornwall was the world centre for the mining of tin, copper, arsenic and many others. When new, cheaper, mines were opened in the Far East, Central America, Australia, Canada, etc, the Cornish mines were rapidly eclipsed and thousands of Cornish miners emigrated all over the world taking their mining expertise with them. It's why you have many Cornish surnames in all the mining centres of the world!

Thank you, Yves.
You too stay very safe. We who have pre-existing conditions must be very careful.
Especially as I see so many idiots out there who are disobeying common sense. And they are breaking the law but the police can't do anything because there are too many of these selfish (and to my mind, murderous) arseholes out there for them to arrest and fine all of them!
I feel very strongly about this!

oui , leur discipline n'est vraiment pas de mise . A l'inverse , regarde nos voisins allemands ou suédois ou suisses si disciplinés , ce que l'on ne retrouves malheureusement pas dans nos pays latins . Bon dimanche à toi andy !
