Wild lupin

Wild lupin
I know I posted another one recently and this same one a few months ago, but I missed them this year so here it is again! (I didn't think you´d mind!)

Wild lupin blossoms in France from June to July, in altitude and with a purplish hue.
I'm curious to see this one already in bloom, captured in such a beautiful way...

Many thanks!
This one was blooming in May 2013, Eric.
I see them mainly in late April and May. That much further south than France is the reason. I also see some larger pink varieties but these blue ones are most people's favourite.

Zillions of them sweeping all across Asia from Mongolia through the Caucasus and Turkey, the Balkans, Italy and the iberian Peninsula. A spring stalwart given the right conditions of fast but frequent spring drainage and shattered granitic soil. And spring sunshine.
I was surprised and thrilled when I first saw them, Denis!
